
Today, we held our second "bright spot" assembly to celebrate the success of our students throughout the third marking period. If you take a look at these pictures, you will notice how successful our students are doing, even by grade level outside of extra-curriculars. in addition to this, the Sophomore class received a pizza party for having the lowest amount of disciplinary referrals (just one!) The varsity girls' basketball team also received a pizza party averaging the highest GPA (very close second by the boys' team). Junior-high girls hoops will be receiving an award for their academic excellence. If you aren't involved with something, now is the time to be. We CAN find a way to get you plugged in, because....ITS A GOOD TIME TO BE A FALCON!

Don’t miss this year's Dessert Theater, this Friday, April 12th & Saturday, April 13th at 7:00pm at the Elementary School Gym. Come for an amazing dessert buffet and be entertained by some talented students! This year’s show will include performances by the show choir, winter guard, various solos and duets, and the debut performance of Modern Band.



Students in STEM robotics are finalized their submarine design. This is one part of the sea, air, land challenge. Students are problem solving various issues throughout the design/build process. Students design and build every aspect of their robots. Great work Falcons.




On April 9th, 2024 Denise Distrola was awarded the Golden TPOT. TPOT stands for Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool and is a yearly assessment. Denise received the highest assessment score out of 22 partner classrooms for Pre-K Counts program with the IU9. Way to go Denise!!!!


Students are excited to experience the eclipse today, and many have their teachers to thank for helping to generate some of the enthusiasm around this special event. Mrs. Batterson recently highlighted this topic in each of her library classes. Phenomenal!






Coudersport Elementary Enrichment students traveled to Otto Eldred High School to participate in the IU9 Elementary/Middle School Quiz-bowl. They tied for fifth place out of ten.
The Middle School team also competed and managed to place third!

Students from CASD went to observe criminal court at the Potter County Courthouse.



Mrs. Kosa’s class has been learning all about the solar eclipse in K. We’ve learned what it is, how to safely view it, and about the path it will take. We are ready for Monday!

Dr. Kyle Freeman, 2010 graduate of CAHS, now owner/operator of Allegheny Mountain Wellness, at 181 Route 6 W, Coudersport, PA visited his alma mater to educate health 9 students about stress management and general wellness strategies.
Dr. Freeman received a B.S. in Science from Penn State University in 2014, received a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer in 2021, was deployed to Poland from 2022-2023, and continues his military service as a commissioner officer in the PA Army National Guard.
Thank you, Dr. Freeman, for taking time to visit and educate with our students! We appreciate it very much!

Students in Mrs. Bennett's Grade 5 ELA class shared their Figurative Language Projects this week. Presentation slides included the definition, meaning, and an example of terms such as simile, metaphor, personification, alliteration, and onomatopoeia. Impressive!




CASD is thrilled to host an evening about AI with the IU9's Greg Macer! Greg is very passionate and knowledgeable about AI and any parents who are curious about how their kids may be using AI now or in the future is welcome to attend. This event will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2004 at 6:00 pm in the HS LGI.

Congrats to Kevin Sherry for signing his "National Letter of Intent" to attend and compete this fall at the University at Buffalo (UB). Kevin will be taking up Computer Engineering and will be running on UB's cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field teams. The Bulls are a Division I university participating in the Mid Atlantic Conference (MAC). Kevin has had a great career at Coudersport capped off by a third place finish in the 3000 m at states this year!



CASD will be holding an informational meeting for parents regarding Kooth and its mental health services on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 6:00 pm in the HS LGI.


With a smile and grin, our chemistry teacher Mr. Anderson always told the students they didn't have to make up work after the trip if they took a picture in front of the Eiffel Tower with a sign that said "I ❤️ Chemistry." -- So this picture is in his honor.
