Today, the sweetest event took place. Our little, middle, and big falcons came together to walk the halls of the elementary school. PreK, for the beginning of their educational journey as they graduated tonight. Sixth, for their transition to the middle-high school, and seniors, for their final time. The smiles were plenty. The hearts were full. K-5 cheered them on and made signs. many walks and journeys of life. Together! Thank you Mr. Marzo for all your work organizing this.

Congrats to Kevin Sherry who finished second in the state in the 3200 and is the 2024 state champion in the 1600! Both times were CASD records. There will be a fire truck escort through town on their way home today around 5:30 coming from the hospital and finishing at the school. Come out and congratulate Kevin and our other state track and field participants!

Dear Parents/Guardians: Students in grades 8-11 received their preliminary course requests for the 25-26 school year today in their English class. This is not the student’s schedule. The course requests can also be viewed in the Parent and Student Grade Portals. If you have questions about the requests, please contact the School Counseling Center at 814-274-8553 or email Mrs. Minard at rminard@coudyschools.net. You can also have your student return the course request with a written note.

It was a great day to explore several Colonial Villages, thanks to the efforts of our fourth grade students. They have been working hard this month learning about colonial times, which culminated into this wonderful project and presentation to parents. So impressive!

And that’s about a wrap for sixth graders field trip to DC. The day began with tours at Washington’s private estate, Mount Vernon. Spent some time at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo. Played a great game of trivia on the bus ride testing all the things learned, and now we’re wrapping up with dinner at the hibachi in Harrisburg before back in Coudy tonight! A special thank you to our bus driver, Bob. Our guide, Tammy. Mr. Streich, Mrs. Counts, Mrs. Roessner, Mrs. Cusatis, and Mrs. Moralis for all your help!
