Last week was an exciting one for Spud Growers FFA!
On Tuesday, members participated in the Area Forest, Land, and Wildlife Career Development Event at the PA Lumberman’s Museum, joining over 150 FFA members from Potter, McKean, and Tioga counties. On Thursday, our FFA Officers and Leadership Team travelled to Sinnemahoning State Park for a Leadership & Environmental Education Day. Students engaged in team-building exercises, outdoor recreation, and hands-on learning about the natural environment. It was a fantastic opportunity for our members to develop leadership skills and connect with nature!

Congratulations to Lawson Wetzel and Chase Wahlers for qualifying for the second round of the District 9 boys golf championship on Saturday, October 5th. Lawson is tied for 9th place after shooting an 83 and Chase is tied for 14th place after shooting an 84 today.

Kindergarten spent the week learning about apples. We learned about the life cycle and the changes an apple tree goes through in each season. Our week was full of stories, songs, and centers about apples. Friday we followed a recipe and made applesauce to enjoyed as our snack. Mmm!
On Friday, our big falcons came down to the elementary school early to greet and visit with our little falcons! Thanks for being good role models, big falcons! Have a great week! Go Falcons!
